Refreshing headlights.

Do you know what’s good about e28goodies.com ?
it’s runining by people who actually own e28s and have an idea how things should be done.
We know what you need, because we are already in your shoes.

And since i completely restore my car from blank chassis i thought we are experienced enough to do something nice for the others who doesn’t got the time or knowledge.

Refreshed or refurbished?

There is a thick line between both things. Refreshing some parts is like maintaining your car. Changing oil, filters, plugs – just little bit of care which makes it reliable and running better. Refurbishing is like engine rebuild. You are using just the “Highkey” from your engine, rest is brand new from the shop.

Once you go black you never go back.

Let’s face it. e28 is about 30 years old.Just think about how many of those years car spent in the garrage. Now imagine all this snow, mud, rain, slush and everything else that you car survived on a daily basis. Usually we got headlights in this condition:

( Enjoying the yellow lenses ? We got some in here )

Some work need to be done.

Those are the adjusting bolts plastic clips which snaps into the headlights frames (white). Very often some of them  are literally turning into dust when touched. The good thing is we found aftermarket replacement so we can change broken with brand new.

Some of the rings are damaged, got pilled chrome or even painted.

Fine rings are hand polished and damaged are replaced with good-looking from the “Spares Stash”

Meanwhile parts are sandblasted . You can see the difference before and after.

And we have them in stock at the moment.

Packaging

And because we know how much work we put on, how fragile the lenses are, and how much gonna cost you – they deserve the best packaging before being shipped … but I’ll leave packaging entry for tomorrow.
